Delaware’s coastal resort area will celebrate locally grown Inland Bays oysters- A Southern Delaware Delicacy- from Sunday, August 3 through Thursday, August 7, during the 2nd Annual Inland Bays Oyster Week (IBOW25). Inland Bays Oyster Week not only highlights the culinary delights of locally grown oysters but also emphasizes the importance of sustainable aquaculture practices in the region. It aims to connect the community with local farmers and educate attendees about the environmental benefits of oyster farming.
IBOW25 is organized and sponsored by Delaware Sea Grant at the University of Delaware
in collaboration with Southern Delaware Tourism.

Didn’t get your fill of Inland Bays oysters?!?
Check out the DELAWARE SEAFOOD FESTIVAL at Schellville on Saturday, September 20th, for a day of seafood delights and family fun. Indulge in steamed crabs, crab cakes, shrimp, oysters, lobster, and more while enjoying live local music. Proceeds will support the Stevenson Foundation, which provides funding for local small businesses, scholarships for kids looking to enter the culinary industry, and Center for the Inland Bays.
